“The Overload”, the debut album by Leeds-based Yard Act, was received with 4 and 5 star reviews in the international music press in January 2022 and confirmed the hype during performances at Pukkelpop and in Antwerp's Trix. The group made it to shortlisted for the prestigious Mercury Prize, longlisted for the BBC Sound Of 2022 and was named album of the year by BBC Radio 6. Not bad for the debut of a group that only saw the light of day in 2019. “The Overload” is now being reissued as a double LP with the audio from Yard Act's NPR Tiny Desk session as an added bonus on gold vinyl.
