The album acts as a compilation of classic country standards with Nelson's personal arrangements and production from T Bone Burnett. This vinyl re-issue includes 15 covers of iconic traditional country songs including Hank Williams's "House of Gold", Ernest Tubb's "Seaman Blues", and Merle Travis's "Dark as a Dungeon".
