'Cut The Wire' is the title and also a pithy summary of Waltzburg's debut album. In various ways, overarching themes such as cutting knots and taking directions follow each other. The songs tell about the effort it takes to make choices, but also about the dissatisfaction with the choices of others over which you have no control. A greater contradiction between text and music is almost unimaginable. Where the music sounds creative and playful, the lyrics are anything but thoughtless and are mainly about weighing up the pros and cons. There is a continuous battle between music and text.
