Atlantic Records continues its successful partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures and proudly announces 'BARBIE THE ALBUM'. This album is the soundtrack to the highly anticipated movie Barbie, starring Margot Robbie (Barbie) and Ryan Gosling (Ken). The danceable first single 'Dance The Night' was written by superstar Dua Lipa, Andrew Wyatt, Caroline Ailin and none other than Mark Ronson. Dua will also be seen in the movie, the accompanying video for 'Dance The Night' gives a preview of what that will look like. In the video, the Oscar (3x) winning writer/director/producer Greta Gerwig of the Barbie movie also makes a 'special appearance'.
'BARBIE THE ALBUM' features an exciting line-up of artists and will feature new songs from Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Lizzo, Karol G, Charli Xcx, Pinkpantheress, Tame Impala, Haim, The Kid Laroi and more. The album is produced and co-written by award-winning (Oscar, Golden Globe, and 7x Grammy) producer and recording artist Mark Ronson. Barbie star Ryan Gosling also joins the roster of soundtrack artists with his iconic original song 'I'm Just Ken' performing as his character, Ken.
The album was produced and overseen by Atlantic Records' Kevin Weaver and Brandon Davis. Other key players on the project include soundtrack co-producers Brandon Creed, Joseph Khoury, and Barbie Music Supervisor/Album Executive Producer George Drakoulias.
