Colourgrade is the follow-up to Tirzah's 2018 cult classic 'Devotion'. It is an unconscious snapshot of a year in which Tirzah first started playing live regularly and was recorded when she was in the middle of promoting Devotion, shortly after the birth of her first child and shortly before her second child was born.

The album explores healing, gratitude and new beginnings, and features a singer discovering for the first time the kind of love shared between a mother and child while simultaneously working as an artist.
