How do you capture the energy of a festival favorite on a studio album? All that playing brings an enormous soul and energy to the music live, which you would also like to capture in the studio. And so they decided to join forces with producer Bernard Gepken (Daniël Lohues, Tangarine, Rob Dekay) and Frans Hagenaars (Excelsior Recordings). Surrounded by a team of the best studio musicians, they played the songs live in the studio on the Amsterdam IJ. With the additions of Mischa Porte, Ferry Lagendijk, David Gram and many others, the arrangements by Reyer Zwart and a session with the Dutch String Collective, you can say that the men went all-in.

But it certainly doesn't leave them empty-handed. Empty Pockets is an album with eleven strong songs that are performed with the live feel of Springsteen's Seeger Sessions. A record that is not only musically sound, but where, according to good Americana tradition, a lot of attention has also been paid to the lyrics.
