The Libertines, the cult British punk rock band from the 2000s consisting of Pete Doherty, Carl Barât, John Hassall & Gary Powell, are back after a period of 8 years with the album 'All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade'. This new album heralds the return of the band in the spring of 2024. The record was written in Jamaica in the winter of 2023, supervised by producer Dimitri Tikovoï (The Horrors, Charli XCX, Backy Hill) and mastered by Dan Grech (Lana Del Rey, Liam Gallagher, Paul McCartney). According to Carl Barât, it was the whole story of The Libertines that led to the creation of this album: "Our first album was born out of panic and disbelief at being in the studio: the second was born out of conflict and misery: the third was born out of complexity, and this album gives the impression that we were all in the same place, at the same speed, and that we were really connected".
