Fifty years after the release of their eponymous debut album, the legendary Ten Years After are releasing a brand new album, entitled 'A Sting In The Tale'. In addition to original members Ric Lee (drums) and Chick Churchill (keys), the band has consisted since 2014 of bass icon Colin Hodgkinson (Peter Green, Spencer Davis, Chris Rea) and multiple British Blues Award winner Marcus Bonfanti (Van Morrison, Ginger Baker, Ronnie Wood) on guitar and vocals.

Ten Years After broke through to the general public in 1969 after their performance at the legendary Woodstock festival. Their unique combination of Jazz, Blues & Rock made them one of the most popular bands of the early 70s. The band split up in 1974, but in the decades that followed they gave a few reunion performances. At first the enigmatic frontman Alvin Lee was still part of the line-up, later the role of the unfortunately prematurely deceased singer and guitarist was taken over by others.

The current line-up has been touring the world since 2014 and has now played over 150 shows. To capture the newfound fire, the band has recorded 12 brand new tracks in Bonfanti's London studio. Themes range from memories of growing up in post-war Britain, to the losses suffered through the Rock 'n Roll life, but also looking back with satisfaction on the lives that have been lived.

Although the band has had the necessary line-up changes and has been developing musically for 50 years, the sound of the band is irrevocably based on the style that the band has been using since the late 60s.
