In addition to many new songs, this third album by Suzan & Freek also contains the previously released singles Honderd Keer, Kwijt, Slapeloosheid and Nooit Meer Regen. The title Someone From the Past can be interpreted in several ways, according to the duo. “Time flies when you're having fun - and we are. We've really been together for half of our lives by now. We are each other's 'someone from the past'. And although a lot has changed, a lot has also stayed the same. Plopping down on your parents' couch, weaving between the white lines on the cycle path: so much from the past stays in your system, and that's a good thing! When we grow up, we hope to look back on the past with pride - whatever that 'past' may be.”

Someone From The Past is the third album by Suzan & Freek, since their breakthrough in 2019 with the single Als Het Avond Is. Later that year they released the platinum debut album Gedeeld Door Ons, which also included the hit single Blauwe Dag. In 2021, Dromen In Kleur followed, including the singles Weg Van Jou, De Overkant, Goud and Onderweg naar Later. Suzan & Freek received an Edison for Best Album last year for Dromen In Kleur. On October 20, 21 and 22, Suzan & Freek will be performing as part of The Streamers at the Gelredome in Arnhem, and on November 10, 11 and 12, the duo will be performing a total of four times at a sold-out Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. On November 18, they will also be performing at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp.
