Spoon’s tenth album, ‘Lucifer On The Sofa’, is out via Matador Records/Beggars. The album was recorded in Texas, co-produced by Spoon and Mark Rankin (Adele, Queens of the Stone Age) and features contributions from Dave Fridmann and Justin Raisen. Written and recorded over the last two years – both in and out of lockdown – the album marks a shift towards a slightly louder, wilder, and more colourful version of Spoon. It’s the first time the band has recorded in their hometown of Austin in ten years.

'Lucifer On The Sofa' is the band's most pure rock 'n' roll record to date. It makes you feel the physical tension of a band in a packed concert hall. It's an album that balances intensity and intimacy. The hardest screams feel as alive as the directions mumbled softly into the microphone on the first take.
