This is Nomden's third, solo album 'Parallel Universe'. Since 2014, Diederik Nomden has been part of the acclaimed tribute bands The Analogues and Her Majesty, whose hundreds of live performances (sold-out theaters in the Benelux, Germany and the UK, but also in venues such as Lotto Arena, Casino Oostende, De Roma, Carré, the Concertgebouw and Ziggo Dome) have lifted him to an international level as an instrumentalist, but especially as a lead singer.

Nomden wrote, arranged, played, recorded, produced and mixed this album mainly in his own studio. With musical help from Victor Meijer and veteran David Corel (bassist in Nomden's first band Redivider).

Furthermore, on 'Parallel Universe' Diederik sought the (repeatedly tried) collaboration with Douwe Bob again. For the performance of his orchestral arrangements he could count on classical musicians such as Doriene Marselje (harp), Merijn van Prooijen (double bass) and the string players of the Dutch String Collective (including Marieke de Bruijn) and the violinists of Fuse (Emma van der Schalie and Julia Philippens). The American Tom 'Bones' Malone was also called upon.
