"Sound of Sinning", uitgebracht in 2015, is het derde studioalbum van de San Francisco-band Monophonics. De plaat is een eerbetoon aan de psychedelische soul en funk van de late jaren '60 en vroege jaren '70. Het album heeft een warme, vintage geluidskwaliteit. De productie is analoog. De muziek is rijk aan blazersarrangementen, moddervette baslijnen en de zwoele, soulvolle zang van Kelly Finnigan. De nummers op het album zijn melancholisch. Ze verkennen thema's als verleiding en hartzeer. Het is een heerlijk, authentiek en groovy album.
