With the single Burning Daylight, Mia Nicolai & Dion Cooper will represent the Netherlands at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. The duo describes the song as 'an ode to falling and getting up'. This single is now also available as a limited 7" vinyl single. Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper wrote the song together with Duncan Laurence, Jordan Garfield and Loek van der Grinten. With the song, they convey a personal message: "We all have our unique problems and challenges as human beings, which are often universal: a relationship that ends, losing a loved one, work that does not suit us, stress, or when we are simply at odds with ourselves. Sometimes it feels like we are at a dead end and days pass by without meaning. But it is precisely when the old does not work and you are with your back against the wall that there is an opportunity for growth, for something new. Say goodbye to the old life in which you do not feel so free - goodbye old life." The b-side contains the instrumental/karaoke version of Burning Daylight.
