Recently after the release of the beautiful collaboration with the legendary Lonnie Holley, Matthew E. White releases his own new studio album via Domino Records. It has been six years since 'Fresh Blood' was released.

Recorded in and titled in homage to White’s home studio Kensington Bay on Richmond’s Kensington Avenue, the studio provides a spiritually separate space for his personal creativity and artistic risk-taking. ‘K Bay’ is a bold return to independence and identity, establishing White as one of the most imaginative and daring songwriters, composers and bandleaders of his era. Its 11 tracks are retro-futuristic sleight-of-hand that feel at once classic and contemporary, the product of a musical mind that has internalised the lessons of its idols and used them to build a brilliant world for itself.
