As a child, Utrecht singer Marianne Weber was a big fan of the most famous singer of Dutch folk songs, De Zangers Zonder Naam. In the early 90s, Marianne Weber started her career in the Holland Duo with which she released three albums. In 1992 she went solo and immediately scored her first big hit "Ik Weet Dat Er Een Ander Is". But when she recorded a duets CD with Frans Bauer in 1997, it became a huge success for both of them, especially because of the single "De Regenboog". Many solo and duet hits followed to this day.
