Stain is het derde studioalbum van Living Colour. Het werd uitgebracht in 1993 en is het eerste met bassist Doug Wimbish. Stain heeft een veel zwaardere en agressieve Living Colour, met elementen van thrash metal en industriële muziek. Het bereikte nummer 26 in de Billboard 200. De band ging in januari 1995 uit elkaar na een tournee met Bad Brains. Dit was hun moeilijkste, meest gewaagde werk tot nu toe: de pure somberheid van de meeste liedjes over vervreemding, onverschilligheid, haat, krankzinnigheid en vervolging was misschien te "zwaar" gebleken. Dit is duidelijk het meesterwerk van Living Colour!
