Singer Katja Kruit has American roots and learned to play the dobro in the USA. The songs on her debut album "Live A Little More" were created during the pandemic and tell about encountering yourself, loss and the desire to live life to the fullest - despite everything. They naturally became country songs: that was the musical language that came from her, the language of her roots. She plays the songs with a full country band, from intimate and vulnerable to heavy sing-alongs.
Katja's mission is to spread her love for country and bluegrass - and of course dobro and lap steel guitar. As a singing dobroist she has made a name for herself and played at festivals such as the Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival and European World of Bluegrass, and various stages.
