Having conquered their British base and mainland Europe for the previous ten months, the vast majority of the 17,000-plus concertgoers in Los Angeles were there to see headliners The Mamas & The Papas and were blown away by Jimi Hendrix's exciting musicality and showmanship. Finally, the rest of the world can enjoy this set for the first time: amazingly enough, not a single second of this live recording has ever been released, neither through official channels nor in any other way.
