On Friday March 8th DI-RECT will release their long awaited album "SPHINX". For this album the band has once again
joined forces with producer Niels Zuiderhoek. In addition to well-known hits such as "Through The Looking Glass", "90s Kid",
"How My Heart Was Won" & "OMG It's Happening", the album is all about new music, where the band
has worked on with heart and soul for the past two years.
On "SPHINX" DI-RECT shows its most versatile side, with the sincere and passionate theme as the common thread
energy that resonates in the music. In terms of content, the band draws inspiration from the everyday and is more personal than
ever before. Both very close as in "How My Heart was Won", which is an ode to the love of Marcel's life, and
in a larger context, such as in title track "SPHINX", which can be seen as a plea for more compassion in
times when people increasingly stand opposite each other, instead of shoulder to shoulder
