Cage The Elephant are back with the release of their sixth studio album, Neon Pill. The new album finds the Kentucky-based six-piece orchestra—brothers Matthew Shultz [vocals] and Brad Shultz [guitar], Daniel Tichenor [bass], Jared Champion [drums], Nick Bockrath [lead guitar], and Matthan Minster [guitar, keys, backing vocals]—exploring new musical paths while maintaining their uncompromising creativity and wildly cathartic performances. "For me, Neon Pill is the first record where we've been consistently uninfluenced, and I mean that in a good way," Matthew notes. "It all comes out, without a doubt, because we've found our own voice. We've always been inspired by artists we love and sometimes we've even emulated them to some extent. With this album, after going through so much, life almost forced us to become more and more comfortable with ourselves. We weren't striving much beyond the pure experience of self-expression, but at the same time we weren't necessarily settling. We just found a uniqueness in just existing."
