The album Windveren by Boudewijn de Groot is the successor of Even Weg from 2018. Some songs on the album are very personal and a number of tracks are, just like in the early years of his career, very socially critical. It is therefore an album on which many aspects of the rich musical life of the singer, lyricist and composer can be heard.
The tracks are produced by Gordon Groothedde and Boudewijn de Groot also gets musical help from The Kik, George Kooymans and granddaughter Aysha de Groot. In addition, a recovered text from his regular lyricist of yesteryear, Lennaert Nijgh, has been used.
