Augustines was een Amerikaanse indie rockband uit Brooklyn, New York, actief van 2010 tot 2016. De band stond bekend om hun krachtige, emotioneel geladen optredens en persoonlijke songteksten. Hun muziek combineerde elementen van alternatieve rock en folk, met een intense, rauwe energie die live bijzonder goed tot zijn recht kwam.

Een bijzonder moment in hun carrière was hun 2 Meter Sessies-optreden, een bekend Nederlands muziekplatform dat intieme liveoptredens van artiesten opneemt. Tijdens deze sessie speelden de Augustines akoestische versies van hun nummers, wat hun emotionele lading en frontman Billy McCarthy's rauwe stem nog beter liet uitkomen. De sessie wordt vaak geprezen vanwege de intensiteit en oprechtheid waarmee de band hun muziek bracht.
