Op Wanderings neemt Tim Knol je mee door acht nieuwe liedjes. Hij schreef deze speciaal voor zijn gelijknamige theatervoorstelling. Tim: “Het leek mij mooi om bij deze voorstelling een echte soundtrack te maken, zoals bij films, rijk gearrangeerd en vol sfeer.” Zo ontstond er iets vol contrasten, dromerig en intiem. Van de grootse muzikale productie van de titeltrack Wanderings tot verstilde liedjes als On This Quiet Mountain en Up in the Hills. Samen met producer Jeroen Tenty verkent Tim nieuwe wegen. Dat is hoorbaar in de strijkers en het filmische van de titeltrack, waarin de geest van Lee Hazlewood rondwaart. Wanderings is een plaat die heel dichtbij komt en tegelijk groots durft te klinken. Een album vol liedjes die Tim met trots toevoegt aan zijn oeuvre en die ook los van de voorstelling overeind blijven.
