Charismatic ex-KVELERTAK frontman Erlend Hjelvik who was leading the band on their first 3 albums until 2018 is now continuing his musical journey solo under his last name HJELVIK. He played with Kvelertak all major festivals and toured the world with the likes of Mastodon, Alice in Chains, Metallica, Slayer and Ghost. His debut solo album “Welcome To Hel” was recorded by Justin Phelps (Joe Satriani, Mr. Bungle, Poison Idea) and mastered by Grammy award-winning engineer Alan Douches (Mastodon, Converge, Chelsea Wolfe). Guest appearances by Matt Pike (High On Fire), Mike Scalzi (Slough Feg). Artwork by Joe Petagno, the legendary Motörhead cover artist. The video for the first single "North Tsar" was produced by Grupa 13 – famous for their outstanding Behemoth videos.
