Out Now! Volbeat is back with "God of Angels Trust"

On Friday, June 6, 2025, Danish rock band Volbeat will release their ninth studio album, God of Angels Trust . After a year-long hiatus during which frontman Michael Poulsen recovered from throat surgery and worked with his death metal band Asinhell, the band returns with a brand new album.

For this album, Poulsen opted for a spontaneous and intuitive writing style, abandoning traditional song structures. The result is a powerful and energetic album that was written and recorded in just five weeks. The recordings took place in the fall of 2024, under the guidance of regular producer Jacob Hansen. The band played live in the studio, with as few takes as possible, to capture an immediate and urgent sound.

God of Angels Trust features ten new tracks that strike a heavier and darker tone than previous albums. Tracks like "Demonic Depression" and the epic "In the Barn of the Goat Giving Birth to Satan's Spawn in a Dying World of Doom" show a band that harks back to their metal roots, but with a fresh and melodic approach.

World Tour

In support of the album, Volbeat will embark on the "Greatest Of All Tours Worldwide" in June 2025. The tour will kick off in Canada and then hit the United States and Europe. On September 23, the band will perform at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, followed by a performance at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp on September 24.
