It's been expected for a while, but now it's really been announced, Play: Ed Sheeran's new album! It'll be released on September 12th and of course it contains the hit of the moment, and potential summer hit of 2025 "Azizam".
Play is his first album since 2023's Autumn Variations.
On his Instagram, Ed says the following about the album: "Play is an album I made as a direct response to the darkest period in my life. After all this time I just wanted to create joy and colour and explore the cultures of the countries I toured. I made this record all over the world, finished it in Goa, India and had some of the most fun, creative days of my life. It's a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish, it encapsulates everything I love about music, the joy of it, but also where I am in life as a person, a partner and a father. At the start of the campaign for this album I said to myself 'I just want everything I do to be fun and playful' - that's why we build pubs for folk jams, play gigs on open buses and sing in pink cowboy hats in bars. The older I get, the more I just want to enjoy things and cherish the crazy and chaotic moments. You can pre-order Play now, with lots more fun stuff to come before it's released. Old Phone is also out today out, go listen x"
Play can be ordered from us in the standard pink vinyl version and in a marbled pink variant .
